In honor of graduation season, we want to congratulate Ms. Carchi for her accomplishment. Ms. Carchi earned her bachelor’s degree from Mercy College in Behavioral Science. She is also a member of the Pi Gamma Mu honor society. In her family, she is a first-generation graduate.

Yet, all her accomplishments wouldn’t have been possible without her parents. Ms. Carchi‘s parents migrated separately to the U.S, fleeing poverty in Ecuador. The conditions to obtain work and income were difficult.
Once installing in the U.S, her parents stumbled into each other lives. In the 90’s, they began forming their family. The opportunities they found in the U.S allowed them to be able to give their daughter a great education and to be the first-generation graduate of the family.
